Tell me more about the installation method.
How IBE is installed is a major part of why I chose to exclusively offer this method. It is adhesive free, bond free, braid free, chemical free and tension free. I will install one to three rows of beads, making sure to use proper tension, and sew the hair onto that track. There is no bead contact to your scalp. When it's time for a move up the string is cut, the beads are gently removed and everything is reinstalled close to the scalp. This method was specifically created to maintain the health and integrity of your natural hair and scalp. It is installed with a flexible foundation resulting in a more comfortable, versatile and safe experience. When installed properly and with good home care, there is virtually no damage to your natural hair and scalp.
Are extensions high maintenance?
While there is some maintenance that you simply cannot stray from like daily brusing and regualar maintenance appointments, overall your day to day maintenance doesn't have to be high! For most people they find they can go longer between washes and are able to spend less time styling their hair. Typically extension hair holds its style and shape better than natural hair so most days it will just take a quick refreshing and you're good to go! The two golden rules are brushing every day and not sleeping with wet hair.
Can I swim with them in?
Extension hair is an investment, and although it is real hair, it still reacts differently to lakes and pools. The extension hair can get dried out and you may experience some discoloration in the hair color. If you choose to participate in water activites there are certain guidelines to follow to keep any issues at a minimum.
How long does the extension hair last?
Extension hair will need to be replaced on average every 9-12 months. Ultimately, how long the hair lasts is up to you. This varies greatly depending on home care. I will give you all the proper steps to take and inform you of the right products you should be using to protect your investment and help you get maximum longevity out of your hair.
